Island in the Sun
That Island in The Sun means a lot to me. May be because it(s the place where I was raised and brought up, the dream of a dream Island where poverty is pointless, and misery less affordable. It’s a Dear place because you are where the heart is and I have lots of loved ones there. I choosed « I’m not a racist (My Dog is black) » as a funny illustration of stupid sentences that were banned from our langage.
But I could have also chosen « Heading South » as the opening title of this album. Because i like it a lot. Welcome to the Island without me… « Sunny Morning » is about the nice clear weather you can find at Dawn when in the Beach Area. The sunny side of the tropical Island. With your « Stubborn GirlFriend » and « Grand is the Night ». « Sabotage » is a thing of the past. Oh! Is it ? Anyway you had a « Crush ». And an « Empowerment ». Enjoy! Being on an Island makes you feel like discovering everything before actually jumping behind The Sun which means leaving for France or the Motherland. I made a film about these guys wanting, willing to leave, but that could not do it because it’s always something out of reach. When you have the chance to cross the Borders it alose comes with a kind of responsability. « Eran it » said someone precious. I couldn’t agree more… May be that’s what they called the « Wild Card »…
